‘Building Ossett Better’ is a forum who meet monthly with the aim of building a vibrant and prosperous town centre and promoting a real Ossett Community spirit. On the forum are also community and educational leaders and interested residents.
Building Ossett Business: Key Aims -
- Promote Ossett and it’s facilities.
- Be the collective and affective voice of Ossett Business.
- Identify and meet the needs of Ossett shoppers.
- Encourage all groups within Ossett to work together to make Ossett and pleasant and vibrant place to be.
We are currently working on the following:
Development of the Ossett website, WWW.Ossett.TV
Promotions and special offers between shops.
Signage and maps for the town centre
Increasing events and greater use of the Town Hall
Working with the council to relaunch an increased monthly local produce market
Competitions and fun in the town centre
Performing and creative arts
Greater interaction between community groups, the Education Trust and the town centre businesses
We would like to encourage more members, and invite any town centre businesses to come along and contribute. Next meeting Thursday 16th Feb, 5:30pm at Lithium Studios, Illingworth St.
